Affiliate disclosure

We may earn a commission from some links on this site. This page explains what that means.

How it works

Some businesses run partner programmes. When we have an approved agreement with a business, a link to it may be a partner link. If you follow that link and buy something, the business may pay us a commission. We do not sell products or handle orders.

Where you will see it

Partner links carry a notice next to them. We say whether a partner link changes the price you pay only when the agreement confirms it.

Some businesses also give us a discount code. It is shown on the business's card and profile, labelled “Affiliate code”. The business may pay us a commission on orders that use it.

What it does not change

• Listing order is set by our editors; any position that is paid for is labelled “Sponsored”.
• Facts, evidence labels and check dates are recorded the same way for every business.
• Businesses without a partner programme can still be listed.
• Any sponsored placement appears separately and is labelled “Sponsored”.
